Im having a little trouble uploading some line tests onto blogger directly, so here's the link to my first line test of the walk cycle using the small girl.

Figuring out how to do the stamp effectively was quite difficult and i put it at a slow frame rate (8 fps) to make sure i was getting the movement right per key frame.

The second one is testing out how well her movement applies to the puddle, however i have drawn far to much background to keep consistent, also the characters consistency is also lacking.

Another line test
i think i shall remove backgrounds completely as i I'm unable to keep it's consistency. i think I've applied a little too much squash and stretch so her movement, just before her foot slams down, looks a bit odd to me.

Walk cycle research

While home I got my sister to walk up and down in a stomping manner, so I have reference get the stomps right in my characters walk cycle.
This video i got her to walk backwards so i had a reminder of how the feet move when walking, and as she was walking backwards, her movements were slower, more deliberate therefore easier to see movements.
The next one is of her stamping, her legs are much longer thinner and longer which makes the movement easier to see.

lip synch 2 with sound

This time I kept the design the same, but chose to have her stationary so i could focus more on her mouth movement and timing.
i think this one is better than the other, but there's one major problem is i over exaggerated some mouth movement so it looks like she's saying "shoot the Duluk" instead of "shoot the duck"
i was over complicating the mouth movement and forgetting the tongue isn't always that visible.

lip sync 1

My first attempt at the lips sync, "shoot the Duck."
This only goes up to the words "shoot the" and the erratic hair movement is a result of my over exaggerating the hair move, in relation to the very slight head movement. therefore the crazy movements of the hair distract from the actual lip sync.

Bouncing Ball

this was shot in double at 25 fps, i think i need to shoot it singles, at a lower frame rate so i can see why the ball looks like it's jumping rather than bouncing.
